He Is Risen

Seven o’clock, Easter morning saw seven churches gather together for sunrise service. A prominent location, the Tabernacle ball field, was chosen intentionally to give witness to God’s glory. Three hundred and fifty men, women and children gathered for praise and worship. Pastors and leaders from each church led different parts of the service. Afterwards, we broke bread (or at least donuts) together.

I can’t speak about Southeast Baptist’s Easter service as I was serving in the nursery. The music was uplifting, what we could hear of it! I can, however, say that since I’ve been a member of Southeast Baptist Church, Easter has become so special to me. I love everything from the somber Good Friday service to the hopeful and inspirational Easter service. I always knew what Easter really meant, but it took being a member of a church to really drive it home. If anyone out there is looking for a church home, they could not find a better one than Southeast Baptist.

He is risen, indeed.
