Spring Happenings
The next two weeks at SEBC are packed with activities! If you’re interested in checking out Southeast Baptist Church, we’d love to have you. There are many enjoyable activities coming up.
Special Events
On April 16th the SALTY DOGS (Senior Adults Loving The Years Doing Our God’s Service) have a social and luncheon at 1pm until 3pm. The Baptist Women are meeting on the 17th at Debbie Brown’s home. There is a special Recharge Service on Wednesday, April 18th from 6pm-7pm featuring the UNCG Seraphim, an all-female Christian a cappella group. You can learn more about them here.
Starting April 17th we will be hosting a parenting class during soccer practice times. The class will focus on empowering parents (and grandparents) to take an active role in the discipleship of their Children (or grandchildren). The class will be discussion based and each week we will work on equipping parents with new practices and/or tools that will allow them to play a more central role in the faith development of their child.
This will be a great way for our church members to interact with and get to know some of our wonderful soccer families! Please make an effort to attend this class and support our Soccer Ministry here at Southeast!
The class will be the same on Tuesday and Thursday nights, which means you only need to attend one night each week–not both. The class will conclude by 7:00pm each night. We will have childcare available each night, too! If you are interested in attending these classes please click this link and fill out the form so we know how many to expect!
Meetings
On Sunday April 15th the Vision for the Future Task Force is meeting from 4pm-5pm. The Stewardship Committee will meet on the 18th at 7pm-8pm.
Sporting Events
On Saturday April 21st and 28th we have soccer games beginning at 9 am. You can find the schedule on our SESO Facebook page here. Come out and support our young sports stars! Our men’s softball team is off to a disappointing yet unsurprising start with a loss against Lebanon Baptist this past Saturday. On Saturday the 21st they will take on Shining Light Baptist at 8pm and on Friday the 27th they will play a double-header against Pleasant Garden Baptist at 6:30 pm and a rematch against the dastardly Lebanon Baptist at 7:30. Weekly Events
On Sundays, as always, we have our Sunday Night Live program for youth and children from 5-7pm. They will have dinner and then participate in age appropriate activities-RA’s and GA’s for the elementary school-age kids and youth group for the middle and high school kids. The adult choir meets from 5:30-7pm on Sunday evenings as well. On Wednesdays we have a fellowship dinner at 5:15pm followed by adult bible study with programs for children and youth as well (except for our Recharge Service nights). Come join us for food and fellowship. Your first meal is on us!
