Pig Pickin’ and Soul Food

Hello church members and community friends! It’s been a little while since I’ve updated this blog. The new school year and busy fall activities have kept me distracted, though my kids are only in preschool! Enough about me. I’m writing to make an impassioned plea for everyone to join us for our final fall activities.

We are having our movie night this Saturday night, which is family friendly! It’s at 6:30 p.m. on October 20th. I missed the last one, so I’m making an effort to come to this one!

Finally, we are having our last community celebration and Pig Pickin’ on Saturday, October 27th at 5:00 p.m. If you attended our first celebration, thanks! I am sure you are aware, however, that our church member attendance was paltry and our community attendance was all but nonexistent.

I’m putting the charge on all of you. If you can come, please do and awesome! If you can’t, tell everyone you know about it. Surely a pig pickin’ is more of a draw than ice cream (though, I may speak for myself when I say that’s nuts)! We will have music and we will have fellowship and we will have a message. I promise it will be fun and fulfilling, even if it’s only your belly that gets filled. I joke. I believe you’ll leave with some “soul food” as well.
