Southeast Baptist 2006 Kiev Village of Hope Team will be on a trip to Kiev, Ukraine during July 14-25, 2005. This is the third year Southeast Baptist has sent Teams to the Village of Hope. See 2004 Team, 2004 Photo Gallery and 2005 Team.

The village of Hope is a 17 acre tract of land with 7 existing buildings. This old Russian youth camp is being transformed into a ministry center that will house foster home units, as well as school, medical and other support facilities. With the help of CBF missionaries, Gennady and Mina Podgaisky, the ministry has grown rapidly and is reaching out to a network of organizations that are ministering to children throughout the Kiev region.

This summer several volunteer teams will go to the Village of Hope to do various projects, primarily renovation/construction. The Village of Hope has been established with an international board of directors. The board members represent all who have partnered together to establish the Village of Hope. Representatives from the Netherlands, Germany, Ukraine, CBF National and CBFNC gathered in Kiev in December 2003 to formalize a partnership that will direct much of the street children ministry in Kiev. Ann Smith a former member of Southeast Baptist is on this board..
